Steve Geisler is the co-founder and partner in the firm of Geisler, Henninger & Fitzmaurice, LLP.
Steve began his law career, dedicated to the medical malpractice field, after receiving a degree in Business Administration from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Steve was one of the initial attorneys hired upon the establishment of the law firm of Anthony L. Schiavetti in 1974. This law firm exclusively handled medical malpractice cases for Wausau Insurance Company. At that time Wausau Insurance Company insured over 95% of the physicians in New York State. Steve began his trial career with the Schiavetti firm in 1977.
In 1982 he became a partner in the firm of Schiavetti, Begos & Nicholson, and continued his trial career trying medical malpractice cases for numerous insurance carriers and was involved in the litigation of numerous cases alleging brain injury to infants during the birth process. In the early 90’s Steve became a named partner in the firm of Schiavetti, Geisler, Corgan, Socia, Gabriele & Nicholson, where he continued his career as a trial attorney.
Also, in the early 90’s Steve was requested to represent one of the major hospitals in the borough of Brooklyn. That relationship and representation has continued to the present time.
In March 2000 Steve was a co-founder and owner of the firm of Geisler & Gabriele, LLP, which specialized in the defense of medical malpractice and civil litigation matters.
Steve resides in Garden City, New York, with his wife Minna and has two children and three grandchildren.


A native of Queens, John Henninger graduated from Stuyvesant High School and New York University before going on to St. John’s University School of Law, where he received his degree in 1989.  He has spent his entire career in the medical malpractice field, and has been trying cases on a continuous basis  since taking his first verdict in 1992, only three years out of school. He appeared on Court TV as an expert commentator in 1998.
John joined Steve Geisler and Stacy Fitzmaurice at the predecessor firm of Geisler Henninger & Fitzmaurice in 2002 at which he was that firm’s busiest and most successful trial attorney, obtaining dozens of defense verdicts for healthcare practitioners in venues all around the New York metropolitan area. For example, in one year alone, John won cases for doctors in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties.
John is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and resides in Fort Salonga, New York with his wife Linda and sons Gregory and Peter.


Stacy Fitzmaurice graduated from The State University of New York at Albany in 1988 and from St. john’s University School of Law in 1991, where she was a member of the Journal of Legal Commentary and received the American Jurisprudence Award.  She joined Steve Geisler in 1996 and has handled all aspects of medical malpractice defense, including appeals and supervising two major hospital accounts.
Stacy is the managing partner at Geisler, Henninger and Fitzmaurice.  She lives in Manhasset, New York with her husband Brendan Kelly and their sons James and Kevin


Megan Feinberg graduated from Binghamton University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics.  She attended Albany Law School where she was a member of the school’s moot court competitions executive board. Megan graduated in 2014 and was admitted to practice in New York State in 2015.  Shortly thereafter, she was also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District.  Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Megan worked for a boutique litigation firm specializing in complex litigation and motion practice related to personal injury, real estate and premises liability, and trust and estates law.  Megan comes from a family of doctors and her passion for the practice of law and her long association with the medical field led her to join Geisler, Henninger & Fitzmaurice, LLP.


Robert E. Gebhard graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2005 and is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars. His practice has focused exclusively on the defense of healthcare providers in the State of New York. Among other firms,he previously worked at Ivone, Devine & Jensen, located in Lake Success, New York. During his 10 years of practice, Mr. Gebhard has handled all aspects of medical malpractice defense and has represented physicians of virtually all medical specialties. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Gebhard was a claims examiner and field representative at Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Gebhard proudly joined Geisler, Henninger & Fitzmaurice in April, 2015. He lives in Garden City, New York with his wife Christine and their two children.


Andrew Hallerman graduated from Binghamton University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Studio Art. Following this course of study, he completed graduate coursework in mammalian biology and biochemistry at New York Medical College School of Basic Medical Sciences. Andrew graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 and was admitted to practice in New York in 2001.
Thereafter, he was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts. Prior to joining Geisler, Henninger & Fitzmaurice in 2015, Andrew worked for several prominent insurance defense firms where he focused his practice on the defense of medical malpractice cases, handling all aspects of litigation from case inception up until trial.
